Other bucketlist items I had to do for my inner 40K fan, hope im not pissing any hardcore fans off:
-"Oh my god... its full of stars... *kssshh* ...nope they're just tracers-"
-"This is Rhino 2-9 to Titan! Please advise on subsequent plasma trajectory...previous strike danger close-"
-Trying to stay faithful to the concept of Bolter rounds on impact.
-A friend kept saying how much he loved 'Beakie' helms.
-Re-purposed harness for Assault marine into webbing for extra ammunition/gear carrying capacity
-I loved gargants, and so I had to throw one in as tribute to how Epic 40k captured my imagination as a window-gazing kid.
-Crowd surfing marines, because when you're armoured like a tank, fighting eye to eye is so last millenium...
Big shout out to Karen Miksza at Black Library for being my producer/art director on this!

i freaking love it !
This is one epic piece!
Oh this is nice! I love how this captures the epic battle scale of the Warhammer 40K universe. Is this against the orks? And when you say crowd surfing, does that mean there are so many of them that the Space Marines can literally stand on top of them and fight on them as a battlefeild? If that is the case, that rocks! Also, I love how you drew your Titan! It's so rare to find some really good pics with Titans in them though they do exist. I'm going to venture a guess and say that is a Warlord Titan. Though with the castle on its back it could be an Imperator. Ah, the sheer epicness of this fight scene is simply breath taking. The plumes of smoke rising into a sky clogged with black clouds where only a few rays of sunlight can pass, and the flight of Thunderhawks in the air, bringing forth the Angels of Death to reek vengence upon the Emperor's foes, while those mighty Astartes already on the ground fight to bring death to the filthy orks. And the mighty Titans duel in the background, flashes of lighting reigning behind them as they wage an epic war against one another, each one an ultimate manafestation of war itself!
This piece truely speaks to me! HAIL THE EMPEROR!...and yes I'm a nerd <?xml:namespace prefix = da />
I love that crowd-surfing marine in the foreground with a couple orc axes stuck to his armor.
It's like "I've got armor, bitches. Zero fucks given."
