KITBASHED: Death Stars by ukitakumuki KITBASHED: Death Stars by ukitakumuki
This is what I do when I get bored with my toys :) I kitbash them into something I like. Was in a very cyberpunkish mood when I was thinking of this.

The Death Stars are a special airborne hunter/killer taskforce sent on manhunting missions. They specialise in urban operations where their flight packs let them get around quickly and silently. They are best known for using their chain-grapples to hang like bats in the shadows from where they use their multi-spectrum cameras to maximum effect, discharging their extended-range miniguns on their unsuspecting prey.

P/S: I just love the back of the Alien 'Nostromo' space helmet. It resembles a Panther's face somewhat when tilted at an angle. It may look goofy to some extent but that's part of the charm to me.

I like their big, bug-like helmets. Are they human?

Holy crap I almost didn't see the man inside. I thought this was some kind of crudely-built robot! XD That gear must be insanely heavy or insanely "clunky" to use.

Not too far from truth. The Army is already working on a full body exoskeleton suit. Check it out:

oops my bad you were referencing about the star wars death star gunner figure... i got to start reading these comments before i text anything... but you might want to switch the name or star wars fans like me are going to be breathing down your neck with a pistol to your head... and no you cnt defend yourself with your armor here

the name "Death Star" has been taken by Lucas Art productions since bfore you were born. No offence or anything, but try something more origanal.

P.S. besides the name doesn't really "match" the figure if you know what i mean

xD its future! it would be like copying a 6gb game on a diskette (you know... the old ones with 60mb max.). its just waste of materials ^^ all the metal is needed for building deathstars.... D: and they get distroyed soooo fast.

That chain it has attached to the sword looks like LEGO... and that's a BIG gun. Must have some augmentation in his legs to be able to stand! And his other arm would probably also need that robotic-aid that I see on the one holding the front grip of the minigun. I see it's folded on the back. Cool.
They probably really need their jump packs, or they'd be pretty helpless. Walking around like some cowboy who's shat his pants.

FAVED of course! :dummy:

Pfff lol. :XD:

Brown, smelly cables.

"They eat iron bars and shit chains."
Like that you mean? ;P

And is that chain on the hilt of the "grapple-sword" really one of those from LEGO?
(LEGO FTW!)

im assuming that you use star wars figures or similar as the base for your models?

Absolutely. The bases belong to the model of the same name. There is no reshaping of the sculpt in any way, just slapping on parts and some putty here and there :)

Shoot. I just realised from your comment I should have added a lens hood...mesh or some form of protective cover. Imagine the fucking cleaning the guy has to do every time he whips it out and discharges a few hundred rounds. :( Ugh.

Hm, looked too bulky at first sight to be airborne cuz' of the minigun, but I love the idea of these things being part of urban combat! And you're right, some of the goofiness is part of the charm.
