I think playing with scale/perspective helps the most. Values also help lead the eye 'in or out', and then lastly colour that represents atmospheric perspective (stuff in the distance are less saturated and contrasted because there is an increasingly dense layer of atmosphere as things are farther away, and light (and visual data) is hence affected because of that-- this results in the object being less 'clear')
I like this, it looks like it could be used in a realistic anime movie sort of thing, nice job. Is that ari ship a frigate or something, because I somehow recognize it? Anyway, like the art and I would love to see more like this in the future. Actually I might go check now. Brilliant job!
no, they are not Cruisers, they are Frigates. the Halo Universe for some reason has a different Class system the Pillar of Autumn i believe is a Battleship where as the vessel here is a Frigate class. the ship from the Halp legends short film "the Package" was a Stealth Crusier. and the Spirit of Fire was a refitted Colony ship. then the skip to the Battleship classes. its strange as hell
Oh okay, but the one I saw was on Halo 3 when Lord Hood(The elderly man in white and captain's hat) sends a small barrage upon Truth's Forerunner ship, and then sadly Truth opens the portal and escapes unharmed. So yeah, that's what the design looks like to me, but I'm not being an ass or anything. Thanks for the reply, Ukitakumuki.
