An excellent depiction of what the the Empire is truly capable of without the Death Star. This is in fact more terrifying than a long distance view of a planet blowing up.

On inspecting the higher res version i noticed 3 Nebulon-A Cruiser(mid right of the pic) taking part in the bombardment, did the empire have those too? I cant rember.

If you mean the Nebulon-B frigates, they actually were built for the Empire by the same manufacturer as the Star Destroyers: Kuat Drive Yards. They also had one of the highest defection rates in the fleet, so many of them ended up in Rebel hands.

With this kind of Firepower I have to ask myself, why didnt they just simply pound the Endor moon to dust rather than doing that embarrassing little ground ops?
