So, with the new trailer out, and the tonnes of beta footage, concept art and media floating about I think its safe to release some of my pre-viz work I did for SOE from 2009-2010.

More on this piece:
-I wanted to create a highly sterile and ergonomic look to the repair and medical series of hardware, something that is equal parts efficient and easy to use, easy to mis-use ;p, and looks pretty identifiable on the field.
-Based off the M1-D1 SMG platform, to suggest a family of weapon and support systems designed around commonality in features, to help reduce learning curve.

Why didn't we get this as a medic tool instead of the cookie cutter engie/med tool we have now?!

This is a great looking Medical tool. The simplistic shape and small smooth shape looks gorgeous. I like how you implement the cartridge into the tool. GOrgeous work here man.

This design and color suggest a sterile tool in a very convincing way.
Great work! (I love the name, Venom Arms)

Supposed to be a medical injector eh? Feels more like it could be used as a tranquilizer gun or a chemical delivery agent. On the other hand, how would the projectiles be going through body armor (even friendly armor) to release the chemicals?

Flechettes :) Armour piercing flechettes. I would propose that the laser sensors labelled detect the density of the material(s) to be injected and adjust muzzle velocity accordingly. So if its just skin, a light pinprick burst. If its light fabric, something stronger. I would guess for practical reasons (not that there would be animations for such a thing) but most wounded would have armour removed in order for medical personnel to safely address an injury.
